The Sequoyah High School Language Immersion After-School Program is a Cherokee language immersion camp for high school students. The Cherokee Language Master Apprentice Program (CLMAP) administers this intensive language camp. Students must be members of a federally recognized tribe and must complete an application and interview process to attend.
The goal of the program is to provide Cherokee language instruction to high school students at a more intensive level than a regular daytime school session. Students are taught through interactive methods of language acquisition and immersion.
