ᏍᎦᏚᎩ ᏣᎳᎩ ᎦᏬᏂᎯᏍᏗ ᏓᎾᏕᎶᏍᎬᎢ

Community Cherokee Language classes are offered to all members of the public and are held within Cherokee Nation’s 14-county tribal area. Classes are scheduled at a variety of locations and times throughout the year. Registration is not required for these classes, which are free and occur during the spring and fall.

Adult Immersion Classes

These classes are in-person and held in Tahlequah and not online classes. The Cherokee Language adult immersion classes are free and open to the public, but the priority goes to Cherokee Nation employees first; Cherokee Nation, UKB, EBCI citizens next; then the general public. Ultimate class roster and the number of students is up to the discretion of the instructor.

One week session, Monday through Friday, at Durbin Feeling Language Center (DFLC)
