Language Technology works with software companies such as Apple, Google and Microsoft to get the Cherokee language supported on their devices.

Language Technology also creates teaching materials for learning the Cherokee language such as posters, coloring books with Cherokee stories, textbooks and more. See the Learning Materials and Posters sections to download the materials offered by Cherokee Nation.

If you would like to know how you can use the syllabary on your smartphone or tablet, see our Fonts and Keyboards section.

Note: Cherokee Language Technology provides technical training and support for those wanting to use the syllabary on their digital devices. The most common problem encountered is when a language is not being displayed properly on a device. When this happens, empty boxes are shown instead of the characters from the language selected. For those who see these boxes instead of Cherokee syllabary while using a personal computer, the file below may help you.
