Cherokee Nation has multiple programs that aim to promote and revitalize the Cherokee language, create new Cherokee words, and assist in the implementation of Cherokee language into technology. Together, these programs help keep the Cherokee language alive.

Cherokee Language Technology provides support for those wanting to use the syllabary on their digital devices. Also creates materials for educational purposes.

ᏣᎳᎩ ᎠᏂᏬᏂᏍᎩ ᎤᎾᏓᏡᎬ

The Consortium develops new Cherokee words and curriculum for teaching language.

ᏣᎳᎩ ᎦᏬᏂᎯᏍᏗ ᎠᏓᎵᏍᎪᎵᏓᏁᎯ ᎠᏃᏴᏗᏍᎩ ᏧᎾᏕᎵᏆᏍᏗᎢ

Pre-K to sixth grade Cherokee language immersion school, along with a seventh and eighth-grade program for students.

ᏣᎳᎩ ᎦᏬᏂᎯᏍᏗ ᏧᎾᏓᏂᎳᎨᎢ

Novice learners are paired with master-level fluent Cherokee speakers.

Scholarship for Northeastern State University students pursuing a degree in Cherokee language and an Oklahoma teacher’s certificate.
